Mrs. Mansouri opens the mini-summit of African agencies for investment promotion

The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for African Affairs,Mrs. Selma Bakhta Mansouri, highlighted the essential foundations of the vision presented by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, at the opening on Thursday of the 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF-2025) held in Algiers.
Mrs.Mansouri spoke at the opening of the mini-summit of African investment promotion agencies, organised by the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), on the sidelines of the fair's activities.
In her speech on this occasion, the Secretary of State recalled the foundations of the vision of the President of the Republic, who affirmed that investment is a sovereign and strategic choice for Africa and that unleashing the continent's energies requires the construction of a strong and integrated economy capable of asserting itself in the international system. emphasising, moreover, that continental integration is the best way to transform the immense natural and human potential into a driving force for sustainable development.
Investment in Africa is intrinsically linked to the security-development equation, as it is a strategic lever for building productive economies capable of creating wealth and jobs, ensuring stability and consolidating human and social solidarity.
Mrs.Mansouri said that this meeting was a practical opportunity to translate this vision into tangible actions that would strengthen cooperation between African investment promotion agencies and open up broader prospects for continental and international partnerships, as part of Algeria's ongoing commitment to supporting this ambitious process.
