The Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, Mr Sofiane Chaib, and Greece’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Mr Harry Theoharis, co-chaired Tuesday, in Athens, the proceedings of the Algeria-Greece Economic Forum, held on the sidelines of the third session of the joint commission between the two countries.
the forum featured significant participation from economic enterprises of both countries operating in hydrocarbons, construction, energy, including renewables, public works, food industries, startups, transportation and tourism.
In his address, the Secretary of State commended the strong bilateral relations, stressing the need to bolster economic cooperation by increasing and diversifying bilateral trade volumes while ensuring the implementation of profitable and sustainable investment projects. He called for activating the Algerian-Greek Business Council to give strong momentum to bilateral cooperation and partnership.
The forum provided an ideal platform for Algerian economic operators and their Greek counterparts to hold productive meetings, showcase business climates and investment opportunities in both countries, forge cooperative ties, and explore new horizons for investment and partnership.
